| | Since this event was ALL thanks to the president of our club,
I will merely quote what he said about it already, k?
One could not have asked for better weather than the perfect day we had to
enjoy our SoCal R32 Groundhog Day Cruise. As you can see in the pics, the
skies were as perfect as could be.
What started out as a random weekend drive from Woodland Hills to Malibu
grew to become more than I expected. While originally expecting maybe
12 or 15 R32s to come out for this random drive, we were all surprised to
see the number of R32s that turned out for an afternoon of fun, laid-back
driving through the best roads in SoCal. Malibu Canyon Road and PCH have
some of the best views I've ever seen... and the optional canyon drive led
by "probono" was amazing as well. All in all a very fun day.
Thanks to everyone who showed up, including a good number of MK5 R32
brethren. I'm very excited to see the userbase of new R32 owners grow.
I learned today that their enthusiasm is just as ours was early on... the
group is going to grow more and more each year... just awesome. It was
great to see a bunch of new faces, along with those who've been with the
group since the beginning.
